My favorite TV-Series in the moment

After the sudden end of Stargate Atlantis, I have searched for some new favorites and found them in the last year. They are not so much SF or Fantasy, but in the Moment I do not care, because I like the stories, the characters and the acting.

They are:

Chuck

I discovered the series in german TV. As usual PRO 7 showed the series at the killing slot (at Saturday, 17.00), and I began to love her at once. It tells the story of a young nerd, who became part in the spy game, when an old "friend" send him an email. With it, the whole knowledge of the CIA was transferred in his braind, so that he get in information in certain moments. He became a CIA-Asset, joined a team with beautyful agent Sarah Walker and gruffy agent John Casey.
Meanwhile the Story has evolved very much and showed very new aspects.

What I like in the show are the characters, their funny interaction and the mix of action, drama and comedy. If you have ever seen an episode you will know what I mean ... the Buy more, Jeffster, Morgan and so on...


White Collar

I confess I looked into the show, because of Matt Bomer. He was eye-candy in Chuck, and so I gave the series a try and it captured me. It is a little bit like "Catch me if you can". Neal Caffrey a convicted White Collar criminal (that means forgery and theft with tricks and without brutal force) gets the chance to help the FBI in catching other White Collar criminals. The man who arrested him, watches over him, Peter Burke. And so they form an interesting team, although Neals still have secrets and is searching for his great love Kate.

Again I like the characters and their interaction. Peter and Elizabeth Burke, Neal Caffrey and Mozzie, they are perfect. And the background story is very interesting...

Anmerkung: Nicht direkt  zu einer Challenge entstanden, sondern erst eben, weil mir das Wort "Plan" nicht aus dem Kopf ging und dann diese dumme Idee kam. Und es ist sowieso ein Doppel-Drabble geworden.

In Gedanken ging Rodney noch einmal seinen geheimen Tagesplan durch, während er sein Quartier verließ und auf die Kantine zusteuerte:

In diesem Moment meldete sich sein Funkgerät. „Rodney, bitte kommen Sie umgehend in den Besprechungsraum, wenn Sie sich ihr Frühstück geholt haben. Wir müssen umgehend die Mission nach MX3-726 besprechen“, befahl Elizabeth Weir.
„Aber...“
„Es haben sich überraschende Entwicklungen ergeben, die verlangen, dass wir die Mission außerplanmäßig vorziehen“, duldete die Expeditionsleiterin keine Widerrede von seiner Seite.

Rodney seufzte und resignierte. Manchmal hasste er das Leben und die Arbeit auf Atlantis. Vor allem wenn beides sorgsam gehütete Planungen über den Haufen warfen...
